Vauxhall Insignia. It was brand new at the time and it was a hire car that was paid for by my workplace to get somewhere. I returned it to Hertz and asked for something else. I could only take how awful it felt at everything for a couple miles. The cabin smell was awful, the seats were squishy feeling and awful, the controls were awful, the ride was awful.

I don't know how people genuinely own these and don't have constant road rage.

Austin Metro - it lost everything that was good from the mini and left all the bad bits.

Honda Jazz, not a bad car but the torque less engine doesn’t suit it (should have had the 1.0 turbo).

Nissan Micra 1.0 - awful vague tinny thing, that drove like an appliance not a car.

Fiesta ecoboost drives great.

(and I’m a well known Ford critique)

edit: try a corsa if you think the fords bad.
I've never heard of you!

Never driven a Corsa so still the Fiesta Ecoboost is still the worst car I have driven.
Do you own one or something? You seem annoyed it's my worst driven car.

Too be fair most supercars till the 360 era were just terrible to live with. Most of the rally reps from the early to mid 90's were just plain faster on a road.

Cars like the Impreza changed everything. They were running rings around most of the supercars for a fraction of the cost

To be fair to the Jazz, they’re not usually owned by anyone that could physically survive much more than 1G acceleration on a good day,

1.8 non turbo diesel escort van. Slowest thing outside of a HGV that I have driven.
When we were 17 my friend had a 1.8 Fiesta Van. It was an ex-BT thing. He reversed with the door open once so it had a red door too.

Was an absolute hoot to rock around in when you are 17. I remember we used to cram at least 3-4 people in the back. We once got tailed by police so we all hid down and low to not get caught for seat belts. We then got stuck in traffic just leaving a hump back bridge, which put the police car perfectly eye-lined into the back of the van.

Edit: Another time we got pulled and the guy said he was going to search us for drugs. He opened the boot and said he wouldn't risk his dogs health by putting him in the van. There was 3 of us, so he knew we were going to stick one of us in the back, but he basically said he is going to drive away and not look back - get home immediately.

Nissan Qashqai. Those things are the epitome of a give up on life car and the build quality and customer support are attrocious. 2 weeks into ownership of one and I would almost weep just getting into it. It literally had zero redeeming features or any charm or character whatsover. I blame myself because when I test drove it I felt utterly underwhelmed but was getting a very good deal so went with it. 16 months of the worst driving experience along with a very long list of inresolved faults (I said Nissan had poor CS right?) and I just traded it in and cut my losses.

I feel a state of depression coming on just typting and thinking about it now.
