Worst car you've ever driven

I have been driving around in my Mum's 05 Megane Sport Tourer (1.5 DCI) and I found it quite a competant mile muncher. Been getting 66ish mpg out of it, and thats through towns, A-roads and motorway driving.

Sure its not rapid, but its not horrifically slow, and its very comfy to drive long distances.

Handling is not amazing, but it was not scary to drive quickly on B roads!

Renault admit that the 1.6 engine is absolutely **** though lol

It was what the sales person told my parents got rid a 1.6 scenic for a 1.5DCI megane sport tourer

Worst car was a 1.0 Corsa but worst in terms of fitness for purpose was probably a Meriva 1.4 Enjoy or a Toyota Camry 2.4 VVTi 'Sportivo'

Oh worst car i have driven is a corsa 1.3 diesel thing, the car i learnt in. Didn't like it at all really and wouldnt own one ever..... even if you paid me :p

I've driven five different cars in my life. The worst has gotta be a really old Suzuki Cultus 1.0. The best is a 2008 Honda City.

I have driven Matiz and 1.0 polo and both seem fine for around town, a little slow on the slip roads but both cruised at 60mph competently enough.

A dodge calibre was probably my worst. Awful CVT box, cheap and nasty all around. Oh and most old 3spd autos on small engines, you know the ones that sound like they are playing a tune on the flat becase they can't find the right gear 90% of the time.

I had a P reg Astra 1.6 as a loan car during the week, its gear change was truly terrible.

I rarely drive manuals these days, but I'm quite sure I've not forgotten how to change gear, I could not get it to change smoothly for love nor money.

I really appreciated my 328 when i got it back, it felt like it was built from Granite! :D

Had the misfortune of driving a Mercedes 2543 "Axor" HGV the other night, this was only an 04 plate but was a real let down.

Once Mercedes were right up there with the best from Scania & Volvo, no longer any more.

Strange as the bigger model in the range (The Actros) is actually a fine piece of kit in terms of build and to drive....

The build quality on this one was particularly poor, older Mercs were built so very much better it seems.

Shame.

My 350bhp MR2 Turbo when the gearbox went a few weeks back right on a roundabout near MK (no drive), had to get a tow back home.

Nightmare.....

Now sitting shamefully at the back of the house waiting until after christmas when I can afford to get a new one fitted (getting a new rig/PC instead and Rfactor/Simbin (cheaper), I refuse to spend another small fortune on that money pit this year!)

It's a toss up between a
Renault Megane Mk1 1.6 - hateful styling, gearbox and interior. Gutless engine.
Nissan Almera 1.6 - everything

Both were utterly horrid. Couldn't wait to get back into my 306.

1.4 Corsa SXi. Steering wheel the size of the Titanic, and far too light with no feedback coupled with a clutch pedal I could press with my little finger and irritating buttons attatched to the steering wheel, and did I mention the comedy suspension?

TO be fair my list of car ive driven is fairly short.

-1.4 306 (My old car)
-1.6 Focus Zetec (Currect car)
-1.6 Mini Cooper (Learn to drive in)
-1.6 Astra SXi (Test driven and considered purcase but got the Focus)
-1.4 Corsa SXi (Courtesy car when someone swiped my front wing off in a car park)
