Worst Drivers on the road.

Around where I live it's generally younger and middle-aged women for lack of concentration and awareness, and young men (17 - 25 or so) for aggressiveness and arrogance.

Today I was signalling and slowing-down to turn right into my driveway on a residential road and I got OVERTAKEN by a young lad in a Saxo. I was raging, if I hadn't checked my mirrors (or heard his stupid exhaust) there could well have been two totalled cars, if not more.

In general in most of my driving most drivers are sensible. But a real pet hate is not getting up to speed to get on fast A roads or motorways, if you are doing the same speed as the traffic you can cleanly and easily merge.

I have had so many close calls with drivers just stopping at the end of slip roads I will typically just go really slow until they are clear and do it as it should be done.

I reckon I can tolerate pretty much everything except people NOT indicating on roundabouts/corners when I am sat waiting. This really gets on my ****.

Also yummy mummies in giant chelsea tractors (which they think they can drive properly but are mistaken) that don't give a buggery about anyone else on the road as long as their kids are dropped off at 3 minutes to 9.

I'm still trying to work out at what point I should indicate left to show I'm leaving the roundabout. By that I mean no matter when I do it at least once a week I have someone pull out on me :p Busy roundabouts in the morning can be quite comical as long as you yourself are alert to the madness occurring everywhere else.

Bad drivers exist amongst both sexes and all age groups. However, the worst driving I see always seems to occur on my weekly trip through Bradford. It seems the highway code doesn't apply there. Give way doesn't exist, indicators are rarely used, speed limits ignored and crazy overtaking manoeuvres are common.

Over all I'd say women are worse but;

Men are much worse for tailgating, charging at a junction/roundabout at 30mph hoping that the cars with the right of way will back down and let them out. things like that.

Women are just less capable but better behaved. It's fairly easy to spot a car that's been parked by a woman. Manoeuvres in general. If there is a situation on a road of parked cars making a tight spot or on a car park, a woman driver is likely to just hit the brakes and wait for you to go before she carries on. That kind of thing.

If this conversation comes up with a woman, an example I often give is this; If you were sat on a plane waiting to take off and over the tannoy came "Hi, I'm Sarah your captain today and with me is co-pilot Gemma", would you think "there's no man in there!!" most women screw their face up and say ok ok yes I would think that.

I do detest drivers in range rovers and over various massive "cars" as they seem to think they own the road and try and bully you out the way or dont check mirrors/or indicate.

My general complaints:

Males: Y U NO CHILLOUT? Driving consistently up people's rears, recklessly switching lanes, driving way too fast for the traffic conditions. Consistently raises a smile when I'm sitting along in traffic on cruise control watching some moron overtaking, undertaking, tailgating for 20 minutes only to get off at the same exit as me, one car ahead or even more comedy, behind.

Females: Y U NO PAY ATTENTION? Blind spot the size of a 16-wheeler, Inability to judge distance or speed so being a passenger often involves pressing brake foot halfway through the footwell on multiple occasions :p

Elderly: Y U NO ACCELERATE WHEN JOINING FREEWAY? 30mph is not an acceptable speed to join a freeway with an on-ramp 1/2 a mile long and traffic proceeding at 65mph minimum.

Me: Perfect ofc

Gotta say, lack of indicator use is the most annoying. okay, if it's on a road where there's nobody around to see you indicate anyway then I'll just go along without doing so but the moment there's another car about I'll always indicate.

Young girls seem to be the new boy racers ,middle age women can't reverse so try to push there way through on country lanes and all of them seem to think the mirrors are for lipstick and have no idea whats going on behind them .

They should all be forced to drive pink smart cars so other drivers can be aware of the hazard.

It doesn't matter what I say because I'm a white male, so my opinion doesn't count

Women drive like they live their life - whole world revolves around them and everyone has to compensate for them.

Young males - Enjoy being the centre of attention in their 1.1 rotbox until they get their hands on a decent car and proceed to drive like a **** everywhere. May grow up when they have worn a car door or two

Elderly - Who said that? In my day men used to walk in front with a flag. Etc, etc

Just realised. Addison Lee Drivers are the worst on the road... A different kind of breed those guys.

I'd say it's anybody that uses a mobile phone whilst driving as I am sick of coming up behind people on my bike & them being oblivious to anything around them because they have there moby stuck to there ear.

Wish bikers were allowed to carry chains to whack them as we go past Road Rash style. :D

Agreed, the amount of times I could have entered a roundabout but didn't because of lack of indication from other motorists is stupidly high
