What game most disappointed you?

The great thing about the Steam sales is you can buy games that you know, because of the reviews you have read, are probably going to be rubbish.

With that in mind I bought Sniper:Ghost Warrior 2 and it was/is everything that the reviews have said about this shockingly poor game and more. It is so bad it is almost good. Whereas I would normally not bother completing a game I found this bad, for some inexplicable reason I will probably complete it.

What were the developers thinking about when they released this rubbish? How are games like this still made and how do they hope to make money on such nonsense?

But there have been other games this year which for me were either not up to the hype or not worth the money.

A small list of the worst or disappointing games I have played,this year anyway.

Afterfall Insanity.
Bioshock infinite.
Sniper Ghost warrior 2.
Sleeping Dogs.

Obviously games are a personal choice but I am interested to know what games you have been disappointed with for one reason or another?

Sleeping Dogs was fantastic! It was a real find for me, got it for £5 off the MM and had an absolute blast :D

Duke Nukem Forever - Just the demo, but ran like garbage, looked like garbage and played like garbage. So fortunately didn't buy it.

Rome 2 - now that's something I'd consider putting on the list, been a real let down but the patching seems to be slowly improving it, so I'll keep it off for now!
 
If I'm honest I thought Sleeping Dogs was poor too, however it is by no means the worst I have ever played.

Homefront is by far the worst game, terrible story, terrible multiplayer but I remember the graphics being pretty good. Refused to play past mission 2.
 
Amnesia has to be the worst game I have played till the very end.

I actually liked duke nukem! People expected far to much from that game.
 
Simple this.. Max Payne 3. Known for it's dark comic book style story telling, I think Rockstar lost the plot when bringing Max back and forgot what made the first 2 successful. This was nothing more than an interactive movie and quite boring. The size of the install confirms this.

DeusEx Invisible War was another.
 
Whilst it isn't the worst game, infact quite far from it, I'd have to pick Dishonored. The sheer amount of disappointment in that game has given it a sour taste for me, I started it up thinking I was about to play one of the best games ever made from all the hype, but I quickly found out that it had an awful stealth system and playing anything but a warrior-type is seriously pointless. Rome 2 didn't let me down anywhere nearly as much as this did.
 
Rage, terribly story line, terrible gameplay, boring charters and more bugs on release than any game I've ever played.

You what?? Bioshock Infinite??? Worst game?? Headbutt the desk a few times, might put some sense back in to you. :(

But I agree on the Sniper Ghost Warrior games, They were gifted to me a while back and now i've put a curse upon the soul that gave me them.
 
I'm going to agree with Bioshock aswell, for the same reasons as Max Payne wasn't liked.

It took a dark disturbing underwater nightmare and turned it into a bright game with very little atmosphere

Sorry I just found Bioshock Infantile incredibly boring, I did not like Bioshock 2 either though I did enjoy the first Bioshock.
