I have a 3500+ Newcastle 939 at the moment which is clocked to 2.7ghz (from 2.2ghz) so is about FX-55 speed now (so SISandra says). Is it worth me getting a 4000+ San Diego or a 4000 X2 dual core. I personally don't think it's worth upgrading as i can still get more out of my cpu and reckon i could get 2.8ghz and it'd be costly to upgrade, so, seriously, is it actually worth upgrading? IE will i see a significant rise in performance?

well not really at all, but i don't know how much difference a 1mb cache would make and how much difference 3500+ - 4000+ would make

if you where gonna go x2 i would say get the 3800+ as it can easily clock past the 4000.......but really you have a good clock as mentioned and depending on what you do with your computer, you probably wont notice the difference in cache....correct me if im wrong :)
