Someone I know is selling a GTX970 for 60 quid, as it shuts down his computer after an hour of gameplay. He doesn't know what is causing the issue, and it's just out of warranty.

I'm thinking maybe drivers or PSU issue. Potentially heat.

Worth a buy you think?

Even if it is faulty you can guarantee selling it for much more on an auction sight

If its a friend and he isnt wanting an upgrade i would try and help him fix the problem first, but if he doesnt want the hassel as hes upgrading anyway then i would take it off his hands.

Apparently it works fine with normal Windows usage, and usually fine in light gaming. Lasts approx 30-60 mins when heavy gaming (Fallout 4, Witcher 3 etc).

Not a friend, so happy to take advantage.

I'll let you know how it goes! Pick it up mid-week
