Worth an upgrade from a AMD 6870?

Currently running a reference Sapphire AMD 6870 1GB running at stock. I've noticed a few slow downs (a good 20 to 30 fps drop) playing WoW in busy raid situations on ultra at 1920x1080lately and wondering whether i'd see much improvement if I upgrade to GTX 760 or AMD 7950.

What's your thoughts?

I'd suggest to go for the nvidia 760 and then look at getting another in the future for sli.

will i actually see enough of an upgrade to be worth splashing on one though?

WoW is more CPU dependant... but it does prefer Nvidia cards though so a 760 may be able to help. Either way for other games a 7950/760 will be a nice healthy boost over the 6870.

A 760 would make a huge difference nvidia cards always get 10 or 20 frames higher than amd in wow.
