getting the asus gtx 970 on wednesday just wanted to know will be a worthy upgrade from what i have now

if you sorted GPU, then probably not.

maybe CPU cooler and bigger SSD.

what monitor are you using? is 3570K overclocked?

what's the budget?

just a 22 inch 1080p monitor AOC brand! the cpu cooler is the stock intel one though!

If you fancy over clocking you could put some money into a new cooler, the Themis is a good shout for £20 though for £50 you can get a TD03 CLC unit.

The 970 will 'boss' 1080p and even 1440p, so you can easily upgrade your monitor to 1440p or 144hz and not affect performance.

The upgrade from a 660ti to the 970 will be a big leap.
