worth braking a laptop for spare parts?

howdy all. this is not a for sale thread. i'm just trying to work out if its worth selling parts of this laptop. I have a fujitsu amilo 7820, which something went wrong with the screen and some monkey tried to fix. now it has case screws missing, and bits of the screen casing missing.

screen aside it all works, i'm keeping the HDD - but just wondering if it is worth splitting it down to individual parts and putting it up for sale - or do people not buy laptop parts anymore seeing as though they're so cheap!

I'd either sell it on the bay as spares or repair (but detail that it's still working) or strip it down and sell the parts on the same site. It'd probably be easier just selling the entire unit but you could luck out on the parts.
Motherboards often fetch the most and some people look for base plastics, doubt you'd get much for the CPU though. (Pentium4?)

yeah its a P4, i'm not to fussed either way - i saved it from being binned by my boss so i could have the HDD out of it. Just trying to work out if its worth the effrot of selling in bits or just sell as one unit.
