Hey guys, im currently running and [email protected] on a Gigabyte p55usb3 board, 16gb Hyper X with this card:

and also a MSI 768mb 460GTX as physx (overkill i know but had it laying around)

Im thinking about buying a Evga 480gtx due to the insane price drop. You reckon its worth going for and possible running 2 sli or just keep with the current. Currently scoring P19512 on 3dMark Vantage with the current setup

The 480 will give you a Vantage score right around the same. IIRC a stock 470 did around 15k whilst a 755mhz OC netted high 18s.

The 480 is faster than the 560ti though, and also has more vram. However, I suggest you hold onto what you have now as it should be more than good enough (too early to replace) and then get a more future safe card.

If you were running an older card and hadn't upgraded in ages it would be more cut and dry, but from the sounds of it you've spent quite a bit over the past year and a bit.

480 SLI however? yes, that is a substantial upgrade and will leave what you have in the dust. IIRC 480 SLI scored over 9000P in 3Dmark11 and 32k+ in Vantage.

A big difference.

Agree with stulid, Not point in upgrading. Not going to gain much atall.

Sell the GTX 460 and put it towards another GTX560ti. :)

No see that is a bad idea.

Putting out that sort of money on a set up that relies on 1gb vram is not wise.

£350 (well, there abouts) is 480 SLI or 7950 territory. Adding another ass to the swine he currently has will net him very little. It isn't upgrading the fundamental problem with what he has now which is 1gb vram.

1.5gb is cutting it close. Very close. So if that is a concern then it's better to get a single card with lots of vram on and then you won't have to worry about what the next game engine will need.
