Worth extra £100 for i7

I'm stuck between getting the i5 and i7 versions of the Lenovo z50-70 laptop for my daughter. Can get the i5-4210U version for £499 and the i7-4510u for £599, or thereabouts... The question is, is it worth £100 for the extra processing power? Looking at benchmarks there doesn't appear to be enough of a difference to warrant £100, but I'd like another opinion.

Or alternatively, can anybody recommend a sub £600 (preferably sub £550) laptop with a dedicated graphics chip such as the GT820M, 500GB-1TB HD and 8Gb memory?

I really don't think it's worth it to go i7 here.
Same amount of cores, just a little less cache, and lower base/turbo clocks.

For a laptop no IMO unless your a power user, like your 120+Hz and/or multi GPU gaming, etc. which largely doesn't really apply to laptop use.

I would say no Wej on the basis that you wont see much real world difference between the two.

Cheapest gaming grade laptop OCUK do in the long run might be worth stretching to something like this.
