Hi,

I am looking to swap from 32bit XP to Vista. Only thing is though, do I get the 32 or 64bit version? Running on a E7200, 4gb 6400 ram, hd4850.

64 bit all the way except if you have any hardware you don't wish to replace that only has 32bit drivers.

The only thing that I had to work around was a Canon LBP5000 colour laser printer - ended up hooking it through my Mac Mini and using bonjour printer sharing.

On this machine (e6600, 4gb ram) it's faster than 32bit windows XP.

I tried both 32 bit Vista and 64 bit Vista. Found 64 bit to be of more use because i have 4 gig of ram. If you have got the drivers then 64 bit is the way to go forward. All my software works fine in Vista 64. I was a true XP fan but since i switched to Vista at xmas just gone i have been so impressed that i have not missed XP at all.

64bit all the way! (yeah not really anything new to add) you'll get everything your system has to offer out of it :) and the more people who use it, the less time we'll have to wait for 64 bit to be standard.... *crosses fingers*
