just wondering if it would be worthwhile getting a 7950 in my pc I'm currently running with an ati 6850

AMD PHENOM II X4 965 (3.80GHz/8MB CACHE/AM3) - BLACK EDITION

Motherboard ASUS® M5A99X EVO:USB 3.0, SATA 6.0Gb/s, Quad CrossFireX™/SLI™

Memory (RAM) 8GB KINGSTON HYPER-X GENESIS DUAL-DDR3 1600MHz (2 x 4GB KIT)

Memory - 1st Hard Disk 1TB SERIAL ATA 3-Gb/s HARD DRIVE WITH 16MB CACHE (7,200rpm)

Power Supply 1010W Quiet 80 PLUS Quad Rail PSU + 120mm Case Fan

Your CPU will bottleneck that I know for sure.

It won't matter, though. I say that because my I7 950 at stock is a bottleneck to my 7970.

And yes. It is worth it. A 6850 is not man enough to game at 1080p, the 7950 is.

Would make a very nice system, though if you can hold off with what you have for a little while hopefully Nvidia can release some real info on their next cards. If they are nearly ready and perform well at a good price, who knows how much these drop. Buying a 6970 or even a GTX580 now would be madness though, so don't go down that path

They're good yeah, I have a 6950 flashed to 6970. Perfect for me at the mo, even BF3 at 1920*1080

With a budget of £350 though, assuming OP want's the best he can get for the whole £350 and not a budget compromise... I can't help think these are going to be £50 the wrong way of what they would be if Nvidia had a reply
