worth getting a sound card for my system?

Hi all i got given a 5.1 surround sound system i got it connected to my pc witch is using on board sound but is it worth getting a 5.1 sound card for this system?

Not looking to spend much but if i can get the surround sound for my games that would be nice.


here the spec of the system i have not sure if its any good or worth getting a 5.1 sound for it?

I would have thought that an OEM or second hand Audigy2 might be worth an investment of up to £20.00. You could connect it via a digital coaxial connector to your AV receiver using a minijack to phono adaptor costing £2.00 or less. This will give you 5.1 or 7.1 surround and EAX in games.
