worth getting an i7?

i should be doing my first build next month, and im wondering if its really worth getting a i7, or just wait a bit for the new cpu's to come out?
would the I7's and the Lynnfield and Clarkdales have separate MB's?

If its a new system, then a i7 must be. Otherwise its a waste of money

It depends on what you hope to get from your new machine. If your sig is correct then hopefully when you come to build DDR3 will have come down a bit and i7 will be a very good option.

but yeah ill probably stick with i7

it depends on what pc and graphics card you have at the moment....ask yourself "do i really need an i7" "would it benefit me a lot compared to what i have now"

im using a pre historic mac atm , well a G4, so yeah it would benefit me greatly
Ill probably go along with the build tbh
