I'm playing Clear Skys atm and to be honest its so annoying just like the first one was on its release.
As its not a Games for Windows title I doubt it was ever tested on 64bit vista. No matter what settings I have the graphics quality set to it just seems sticky and sometimes unplayable.
Visually the game is stunning but it is so let down by other things.
I think I have probably just grown out of fps games on the PC and like someone said above the X360 is just so much simpler and user friendly.
Leave the PC's for MMO's and RTS games thats where they shine.
I really find this kind of thing frustrating, if the same company released a console version right now it would be JUST AS BUGGY. There is no configuration it runs stably on, its just terrible coding, it has entirely nothing to do with the PC, in any way at all. Its just a game, like the last one, thats out in beta a minimum of 6 months to early and is a joke. Their publisher dumped them because they are just woeful and make horrifically buggy games.
Spore, mercenaries 2 and all other games i've played lately played first time with no issue and no crashes at all on the PC despite the PC not being a standard specification, which is normally the reason people quote for stability of console games. Especially when people forget about all the things that make consoles crash and die, but and forgotten because one company make a crap game.
