Could someone explain what difference EXPO makes and if a big reason to go for an EXPO set of RAM? Does it just make setting the RAM timings quicker/save having to manually set them, or does it make life much easier?

Looking at either

GSkill 2 x 16gb Z5 6400MHzCL32

or

GSkill 2 x 16gb Z5 Neo 6000MHz CL30 EXPO

to go with 7950x on Asus X670e Hero motherboard. Can't link the RAM sets as ocuk don't sell it so it's from elsewhere. Thanks

As far as I know, it is just a different version of XMP (i.e. a semi-automatic overclocking profile) and is claimed to be optimised and validated for Zen 4 / DDR5 kits, rather than for Intel 12th/13th gen.
