Worth getting Fallout NVUE? | Worth getting STALKER COP & CS?

OcUK - just did some quick math and Ive got enought £ to burn on some more PC gameage

Couldn't help noticing that Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition is now on sale at GAME (lol) and its the same price as Amazon. Ive played Fallout 3 (still playing it) is NV REALLY very different (apart from location)? To those who went to it after Fallout 3..did it feel very different experience or does it feel like just a huge expansion set? I know the engine is now old but still a part of me is tempted. But would like to hear what long-term players think...

Also I played and completed STALKER...but never really paid much attention to Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat. Are these good games...do they have the tension and gameplay style of the original? Would REALLY appreciate hearing from hardcore STALKER-series players.

If you have just played FO3 it is very easy to pick up new Vegas and be bored within a couple of hours, I did it, Then went back to it after not playing for a few months and loved it, the combat mechinics are exactly the same as 3 but I actually preferred the story in New Vegas

AS for stalker, I couldn't get into it, A lot of people will tell you that it is one of the greatest games ever created but it just didn't click with me, I'm not sure why

I thought FO : NV was better than FO3, I guess I just preferred the setting, or maybe I had grown to like the world due to me having played FO3. Regardless, I expect you'll like it.

I'm even more of a Stalker fan. Did you play SOC with the complete mod? If not, consider that for a later date. I would also consider running through CS and COP with the complete mod. There are many more mods out there, but they are probably the best ones to start out with that do the game experience justice.

Out of the two you have listed, I would choose COP, probably because although it has less depth to its rpg mechanics than the FO games, I found the game world more to my liking along with its unique atmosphere. Both are definitely worth having though.

I thought FO3 was trash. Tried to get into it many times.

I thought New Vegas was fantastic. Absolutely worth getting imo.

Clear Sky is the weak link in the Stalker series. COP is excellent though, especially (Essentially) with the Stalker Complete Mod.
