Worth getting No Man's Sky?

I can't remember how much I paid for it, and I've enjoyed my time on it. That said I never really 'got' it TBH, I just found myself aimlessly flying around. I believe there is a thread on here, and I'm fairly sure there are some people who really enjoy it.
I'll also add isthereanydeal.com shows it as being cheaper (£17.64) on joybuggy.com using the promo code FP15OFF, or even £17.99 on cdkeys.com. I didn't realise the price had gone up to £50.

Depends on whether it is your type of game. I played it, but gave up after a while. It just seemed pointless. But if you are motivated to play it, then it seems to be pretty good.

Yea i searched "no man" because I was too lazy to do the rest and it came up with no results, so it seems adding the "man" to the search term makes it ignore both mans and man's from the search results (there are threads using one or the other).

Have have 300 hrs in NMS and still enjoy it. You will hit a wall though as I think most players do and base-building is a pain. I would mod it to take out some of the grind/remove some of the annoying graphics.
My biggest gripe since day one is mouse flying. All they had to do was add in the ability to use keys for spaceship pitch control and that aspect would be great.
Still a good game.

think it's a bit of a marmite game, I've tried it a few times now but don't really get on with it. Checking steam friend list and 26 own it, half have over 50hrs and half like 1-3 hours. Real and work friends, I don't know anyone who liked it but steam reviews are Very Positive now and it gets talked about at award times a lot.

Just feels very shallow as a game, a mile wide but an inch deep. Compare it to something like Subnautica is interesting. In Sub you immediately see points of interest and the game prompts you enough to have some early goals and structure. In NMS is just wake up on plant with almost no in game help. Exploring places in Sub is really rewarding but in NMS each planet is just random generated with very little to really do.

My most played game of the last 5+ years! I've bought it on pretty much every platform, think I've got a bit of an addiction if I'm honest :D

It's worth it on sale. My main issues with the game is once I've seen the first few planets, I feel like I've seen them all. Story mode you are forced to create a base, I wish this could be skipped entirely. I enjoy the exploring, gathering and searching but it feels very bare once you're on a planet.

Saying that, I did re buy the game on my Nintendo Switch to play handheld.

It's value for money that's for sure.

I found the questions etc incredibly boring and NPCs some of the worst I've ever seen in a game - but the gamplay itself is fun and I'm a sucker for exploration!

It depends on what you're looking for. It's mostly a very relaxed, zen game, but there's loads to do, loads to see, great discoveries, and it lets you set your own pace.
Personally, one of my all time greats, but I understand if it's not for everyone.
