Hi guys,

As well as my decking stuff i am going to put in a nice gravel path running down a large part of my garden, it will be approx 1.6m wide by 14m long, and i'd like to be able to use wheelie bins/wheelbarrows on it etc so have been looking at this:

http://www.coregravel.co.uk/products/corepath-gravel-pathway-stabilisation

It looks very good and already has a membrane to prevent weeds etc built in, the only thing is that their Amazon site currently says it is unavailable, and the price is going to be around £300, which is three times the price of the gravel i need!

Would anyone agree this mesh is necessary for a garden path, or not so much? The path would be between the house and a small fence with gravel board so the gravel will be kept where it should be, but there is a slight slope so i thought this mesh may be worth it?

That said, does anyone know where else i can get this sort of thing from?

So far, i have found:
- Bodpave
- Gridforce
- Ecopaving

...and a few others, but all seem a lot thicker and mainly meant for driveways that also don't have an attached weed membrane!

Any help appreciated :)

I found nidagravel as well now but also comes to £300+.

I haven't googled terram yet but am guessing its a membrane? Will take a look now, thanks for your suggestion could easily save me a few hundred quid if you're right! :)

Thanks, i was just looking at the terram stuff and thinking how much cheaper this job would cost :p

Considering that we only need the bin out when we are gardening (it wouldn't be a weekly route as bins are all out front and this is for the back garden), and i could just put the bin on the grass instead - i think i may just go down the terram route as otherwise it will cost at least £300 more, just to be able to push a bin on it once in a while seems mental!

The other advantage is i need the path to be about 1.8m wide if possible, so with that terram stuff i could easily just trim off the extra 45cm width or fold it over and it will take no time at all...

Thanks again chaps :)

Does anyone know of a suitable alternative to the Terram fabrics for the gravel path or a different reliable supplier? Boddingtons are still out of stock and haven't replied to my email. Can't seem to find a decent looking stockist either!

I want to get some decent hard wearing stuff for my gravel path that will last a while and ideally need it about 2m x 25m...

Thanks.
