I've been speccing up a Lenovo Edge E520 as below:
Intel Core i5-2520M Processor (2.50GHz, 3MB L3)
Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64
15.6 W HD (1366x768) Anti-Glare, Heatwave Red
AMD Mobility Radeon HD 6630 Switchable (2GB VRAM, mSATA capable)
4 GB DDR3 - 1333MHz (1 DIMM)
No Fingerprint Reader
500 GB Hard Disk Drive, 5400rpm
Multi Recorder Optical Drive (12.7mm)
6 cell 2.2Ah Li-Ion Battery
Bluetooth 3.0
Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1000
The thing is it has a switchable graphics card from Intel HD 3000 to AMD 6630m, so when you need some more 3D power you can switch to the AMD. It costs £75 more to have this and I don't know if I actually need it. It's a nice thing to have I suppose and adds some future proofing. But I'm not going to game on it, well for now anyway.
I can see me playing Street Fighter 4, COD4 and Dawn of War everynow and then but is it worth the extra £75? Any advice would be greatly appreciated
