hi all abit of advice please.. my system is quite dated but as with the finacial situation i cnt really aford to renew my system just yet!

in the mean time i was thinking a new 4850 would give my system a new lease of life till i can scrape together the cash for a rebuild!

im currently running a 4000+ 2g ram and a 7950gtx! was a beast a couple of years ago ;) alas times change!

anyway would it be worth getting a new card to tick me over for another 6-12 months?(waiting for cod6) im curently getting 70-100 fps on cod4 with minimal settings i would like to get a constant 125+ and help would be great cheers!
 
what do you want 125+ fps for? surely 60 with high settings is good enough.

either way a 4850 will no doubt give you a decent performance increase although it's prob going to be a bit bottlenecked by your cpu.
 
Good investment providing your new PC build isn't too far off then you'll already have a part towards that new rig, e.g. your 4850, get the 1gig version imo.
