Worth going from 4000+ SD to X2 4200+

As title really, is it worth me ditching my AMD 64 4000+ San Diego (Single Core) and getting an X2 4200+ instead?

I mainly play games like COD4, CZ and CS:S

The biggest my mobo supports is an amd x2 4800+ and I don't know where I can get hold of one of them (939)
