is it worth waiting the next month or so before upgrading graphics, im looking at getting the HIS x1950 pro card, will it come down in price drastically when the DX 10 cards are out? i am only the casual gamer who wants to play the odd good game here and there, so not sure what is the absolutely best thing to do. also another question i want to run the games at 720p, does any graphics card that runs at 1280x res do this, or do you need a "HD" compatible card as some cards seem to be labelled now, while other new ones do not? thanks for advice

Id wait, 320mb 8800 GTS is supposed to be coming out now for around the £200 mark, so if it does then x1950pro's are gona be worthless, along with x1950 XT 256mb's. :)

odd good game with what eye candy turned on, and how modern?
Im personally holding out for the 320mb 8800GTS, but the pro is a good card, might be worth waiting though, as the price for the pro will drop as soon as the new GTS comes out, so better wait till thats out, then decide.

Be wary of some of the HIS x1950Pros. Some people, myself included, are experiencing black-outs when trying to run new-ish games. RMA job. :(

I really want these damn cards to come out. At the moment I can just about play condition Zero at a steady frame rate @1600x900 on my 6200 128MB MSI card.

I recently upgraded my system, and went from an X800XT overclocked, to this card cause the X800XT was AGP. Moved from a 939 venice at 2.7GHZ to a Conroe @3GHZ. 2GB of ram.

Is there an ETA yet? or is it still mid to late feb?

Dunno, the x1950pro is in a different price bracket - a good £75 cheaper.
