Worth Me Upgrading

Guys, im contemplating whether its worth my upgrading from my current rig which i purchased in Oct 05

Current Rig:
Amd X2 3800
Geil 2 x 1GB Ram
Antec Sonata II CAse & PSU
Overclockers 7800GT graphics card.
LG 18 Monitor.

Have considering either just changing my monitor or the whole lot for:

E6600 CPU
Geil 2 x 1GB ram
Same or similar case
£150 budget graphics card
Dell 2007FPW monitor.

Is it worth my upgrading now or **** i just be sensible and wait longer?

Firstly, is there anything you feel your computer can't handle at the moment?

If it is doing what you want it to then there is no need for the upgrade.

The only problem is if you by a nice big new monitor, you may need to upgrade your system so that you can game nicely at the native resolution.

I would have thought my OC 7800GT would be able to handle most games out. Anyway, i dont play gaming that seriously mostly use it to watch telly tbh.

Then no you don't need to upgrade at all if all you do is watch telly! An AMD 3000+ could do that lol.

Why spend money on something that will do exactly what your current rig will do.

If you use it mostly for watching tv, then a new monitor sounds like just the ticket!

I agree with the above, buy a new monitor but keep the rest of the system. It should able to handle even high resolutions without breaking too much of a sweat.
