Hi all,

I am a bit worried about how hot my Xbox 360 250gb box gets when I spend a couple of hours attaching c4 to tanks.

Firstly is there anyway of testing the CPU and GPU temps without taking the case off?

Secondly is it worth me modding some better cooling inside?

Oh and are Xbox still giving 3 year warranty if you get RROD as my one is just out of its 1 year warranty and I don't wanna open it up if Microsoft are still giving 3 years.

Leave it alone, apart from making sure it's as ventilated as you can manage. Don't forget the PSU as well. It needs to breathe too.

There's no need, if it needed better cooling it'd have better cooling.

1 year warranty on all new consoles now, they technically can't get the RRoD now anyway.

I've played my Xbox 360 elite (the old design in black) for hours and its never got hot to the touch.

If yours is getting hot you may need to check its properly ventilated and the air has some place to go.

The newer xbox's wont overheat if you give them proper room to vent the hot air.

The new ones do get hot, but it's because the cooling is more effective therefore the heat is being expelled.

Is it possible to mod the PSU so it's quieter or purchasing a new quieter PSU unit?

I've an old 60gb Premium and it would be much quieter if the PSU wasn't so loud.

My slims get hot but I don't think it's anything to worry about, I play them for hours and hours on end.
