As per title,

Contemplating an upgrade or two, but wondering how big a difference upgrading the main system would make.

One option is to build a new Mini ITX system for myself, as listed below? (Not sure on case, probably a new PSU too. but making do with my old 1080p BenQ for a few more months.

Or would I be better off keeping what I have and buying the Asus GeForce GTX 1070 Strix OC Gaming and a new IPS 1440 or 4k monitor?

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £1,308.94
(includes shipping: £0.00)

You'd probably be better off just getting the new gpu and monitor. New cpu would only give you a handfull of fps. 1070 and a 1440p or ultra wide monitor would be a much more tangible improvement

I personally wouldn't move from a 4770 to a 6700.not enough of a performance increase to warrant the cost of cpu, motherboard & Ram.
New monitor & gpu & system is good for another couple of years. What gpu are you running atm?

New G-Sync monitor and a graphics card upgrade would be the way I would go. If you want an M.2 ssd drive and your motherboard isn't compatible you could buy an adapter card.
