Hi

got the option hopefully to buy an Athlob 64 3200 for an extra £10 of what i was going to pay for the 3000.

just wondering if it's worth the extra, just going to be for my htpc, porbably won't o/c too much so temps are low.

It's not really worth it imo, all it is is a multiplier of 10 instead of 9. If you want to o/c though the 10 multiplier is far better as you can simply stick it on 2xx*10, or even 300x10 and get a straight result instead of multiplying by 9 all the time. Not really too much of an issue but it annoys me with my 3000+.

for less than the price of 4 pints of beer, unless it is only for an office pc and you never see yourself doing anything more than that on it, its a no brainer, get the 3200+. Far more flexible for ocing and even if that isnt your bag, it is quicker anyway. (even as a HTPC for dvds and divx 3000+ is the bare minimum with post processing etc on)

I'd pay the extra tenner.
10x multi is bliss, overclocking my old 3800 X2 was so easy in comparison to my old winnie 3000 as I didn't have to get my calculator out all the time when overclocking. :)
