So, I've had Uncharted 3 since I bought my new PS3 last month, as it came as part of the bundle, however I haven't had a chance to play it til this week, and as I got 4 sky rim crashes in an hour I decided to give it a go. Having not played any of the previous games in the collection, I was very impressed. I love the style of play, it suits me down to a tee.

My question is, would it be worth me picking up 1 and 2 before running through 3 again? Would I just be disappointed going backwards in the collection having started at 3??

I played both when i had a ps3 and they are excellent games. The 2nd is better than the 1st, but it is well worth playing both.

1/2 Both amazing and worth playing though as above 2nd is better than 2 but dont let that put you off, You would enjoy the characters more when playing from the 1st also imo

2 is very very good. It's only recently that people are starting to say skip the first one if you haven't yet played it. The only thing that lets the first one down is there are too many mass shoot-outs that don't really suit the game. It's still very good though.

I'd say so - yes. Uncharted is really cheap its not as good as the 2nd one, some graphical issues, slowdowns in places but still a solid game and gets you some background on the story etc..

Uncharted 2 however is without doubt one of 'the' best games in a long time. Its the best in the series and worthwhile playing.

Definitely start with the first game, it might not be as good as the sequels but it's still great in its own right and will introduce you to the characters etc. No point missing out on a good game anyway.

The first is a very good game
The second is one of the best games ever made
The third is very, very good.

While the first is the 'weakest' it sets up character relationships that are referred back to in the second. Knowing these characters and their relationships will enhance certain moments of the second and third games as the developers expect you to know that information already.

Even if there were no sequels i would still recommend the first game, it's among the best released this generation.

Without a doubt yes yes yes for all 3.

I just cant believe there are a stack of ps3 owners who have not played or even heard of uncharted - muppets!

It's because it's not called Call of Duty. A lot of the lads I teach own a PS3 but only have the latest CoD game and the latest Fifa and scoff at the idea of branching out into other franchises. It's very strange.

This. They're all superb. :) Not being as superb as the second game is far from being anything but very good.

Tbh, if I just bought that mediocre bum gravy, I'd have sold my PS3 a long time ago.

Valkyria Chronicles, LBP, Heavy Rain, Wipeout, GT5, Resistance, Demon's Souls. Who'd want lazy cookie cutter multiplatform sequels? Given some of the instant classics available
