Worth putting s high-end cooler on a 8700 non-k?

I recently received my RTX 3080 graphics card and compared to my old 2070 Super it has really raised my CPU temps, being that my 8700 is the non-k variant I didn't think it would be a problem but I'm hitting 80c+ in the game 'Control' for example, GPU seems to max at around 70c which I think is ok, you guys think it's worth sticking something like a Noctua NH-D15 on my chip?, you think it would help?

I currently have my system housed in a Fractal Design Define R5 with stock fans @ full speed, two in, one out.

What 3080 have you got?

I think you're probably looking at getting the hot air out and fresh air in alongside a better cooler.

An Asus TUF 3080 OC, I'm thinking maybe change my case fans, the stock fans are only 1000rpm low noise fans.

Yeah I think getting some new fans may assist, probably install some fans in the top to exhaust the hot air out

I would get extra fans. Changing the ones you have, won't make a massive difference
