Got an old system that I'm toying with getting rid of..

Antec Case NSK w 380w Antec PSU
P8Z77-M Motherboard
i7-3770s
16Gb RAM (4x4gb)
PNY XLR8 2Gb GTX 670 w Accelero Mono Plus
256Gb Samsung 840 Pro
1Tb WD Black

Or break it for parts?

You'd normally get more by splitting but that assumes you sell everything.

Selling as a complete system would get rid of the whole thing obviously, but you'll likely get less overall as a result.

This has been my experience when selling stuff 2nd hand.

Yeah that's what I was thinking, plus with it being after Christmas is it less likely to sell in general, I could give it to one of the offspring but one hasn't got the room in his bedroom and the others a bit young still and uses her iPad primarily...

Why dont you try the MM you should have access ?

btw they are never too young especially if they use an iPad. My two went from tablets to full Windows 10 Laptops and they are 3 years and 6 years. Whats more important is the restrictions you place on their access. In this respect Microsoft Family for Windows 10 is your Big Brother. Its invaluable.

Yeah I was thinking of a pair of Surface 3's tbh, at least then the space issue is mute and then can start using them for homework etc..

I was really eyeing up Surface 3's although they were really expensive. Then we got two at work and omg they were terrible.

They got really hot you could feel how much just holding them in your hand. As they were senior managers they got all the extra bits, dock, video cables, keyboard, fancy mouse etc etc etc. When they were sat on the dock the left hand side (I think) got very hot, almost to the point you couldnt touch them. So I googled and loads were complaining of them crashing, getting hot, going faulty.
I ran temp software on one sat on the dock and it reported the CPU at 91c. You could hear the fan on full too.

It seemed at the time a case of a lottery. One person would get a good working one and the next would get a really bad hot one, crashing, running hot.

Sounds like you're looking at the Pro 3, I meant the poor mans Surface 3, no fan ;)

I've got a Pro 3 and it gets warm but not as bad as you are experiancing, have you done all of the updates etc?
