I have a i7-4770K with a good quality Z87 motherboard, 16GB DDR3, and a Inno3d GTX 780ti, 1200w PSU, a Corsair Carbide 540 with a pair of 250GB Samsung 850 Evo SSDs. I also have a Iiyama 27” 144Hz 1080p monitor?

Is it better to sell the whole system or sell the components individually? Someone is potentially interested but I have no idea what it was worth?

Any advice welcome?

Cases are a nightmare to sell without any hardware in - or you end up selling cheap. CPU and motherboard are best sold together IMO because a buyer knows they are compatible, which opens up the market to people that are not so savvy to work out socket/chipset compatibility. Could throw the RAM in as well, but it would sell for more money and quicker separately. Everything else separate.

I sold my last PC as above. Mobo, CPU and RAM sold as a one sale and the interest in it was unbelievably high.

You will save time selling it all together, and if you value your time more than the extra cash it could be the best option.

Further to MSTRBKR's comment, selling the entire setup will be less labour than splitting and selling. But you may have less demand/lower total price. I would split out the monitor and sell the rig and monitor. Both are still pretty desirable/good spec.

Thanks will heed advice and sell as a complete system, hopefully they won’t be pit off by orange fans! :(

As a relative newcomer to the forums am I right in saying there isn’t a section for selling secondhand items?

You get access when you reach 1000 posts. Until then it's magically concealed ;)
