Worth swapping from Android to iPhone?

Hi all, I've been a long time android user and my phone is due for renewal soon. I was debating a change over from Android to an iPhone but unsure as never had a real experience with iPhone.

My choices I'm looking at are either the pixel 7 pro or a 14 pro max. I do use my phone a lot so I like to go for higher models, but I don't know if I'd be willing to change over. Has anyone else had the same swap over and I was wondering what their thoughts and experiences were with it. I don't want to go over to iPhone and end up regretting it and be stuck for 2 years.

Thanks in advance

I wouldn't say notifications are a huge deal for me, but I do use Google photos a lot as I have a Google drive. Think it might be worth me getting the pixel then as that will probably be my best bet. I was thinking about buying a used iPhone XR and temporarily swapping over to that so I'm not locked into any contracts or such.

Thank you for letting me know your experiences with both

Well why not get an old iphone for £50 and test drive it first. You can easily sell it later.
Thats what I think im going to do, Ill probably try and look for one maybe with some cracks in the back or something to try and get it a bit cheaper.
Pixels are fantastic phones
I currently have a Pixel 6 Pro, it is a really amazing phone. Part of me is just curious in thinking of having a change after the same for such a long time.
iPhone 15 and Pixel 8 phones are announced in a month so I'd hold off
In all fairness I dont really mind being a generation behind and when my contract renews the new phones should be out I think so that will hopefully help me in getting something cheaper.

Ah yes, I completely forgot about the annoyances of plugging the phone via USB. iPhones are a pain trying to get any information copied across.
I cant remember the last time I transferred a file from my phone onto my PC if honest.

Thank you everyone for your input and experiences, I think im going to go down the route of buying an older iPhone to see what its like and have some time to experience it before my contract is due to renew.

Ask the question in here, which is a forum with mainly Android users and you’ll get a bunch of answers saying don’t change.

You should ask the same question in the Apple forum and obviously you’ll get a bunch of answers saying you should change.

For fairness, do both, read all the answers and then take a decision. Look at the opinions from all users, not just from a predominantly Android user base.
That is a good point, I’ve purchased an iPhone XR to use and try to see how I get on with it. Honestly it’s a pretty good experience I think, the main things I miss from my pixel is the high refresh rate screen, the larger size and some nicer cameras which the 14 or 15 pro max will have.

Up to yet I’ve made the decision I’m going to swap over to iPhone, but time will tell if it goes well by the end of October

I can't deal with not receiving notifications instantly, Gmail being the prime example here.
Well I have been using the phone for about a week now, and I have to admit when I was in the process of swapping some stuff over from my Pixel 6 Pro over to the XR the XR got all my email notifications before the Pixel.

So when logging into some sites and needing a code the iPhone would give me a notification maybe a minute or even 2 sometimes before the Pixel.

I would say in the week I've used the iPhone XR its surprised me how snappy the thing is, the main things im missing now are the slightly larger display, high refresh rate and a nicer camera. But all in all I've not really missed my Pixel too much, and with iOS as "basic" as it is it works well and there hasn't been any problems with it on the XR.
