Worth swapping my 3900x for a 5900x?

I'm thinking of swapping my 3900x for a 5900x, the resolution I use for gaming is 1440 and I only use my PC for gaming. I do us the PC for VR when playing my flightsim iL-2 Sturmovik. I have other apps running like voice attack and windows VR software when playing the sim.

So what do people think, worth swapping? Also has anyone changed from a 3900x to 5900x and was it a noticeable difference in gaming?

Well in the end I have upgraded my monitor, and ordered a Dell S2721DGFA. Should be a nice upgrade over my current monitor and I can use Freesync now.

I thought I would get more benefit with a new monitor than cpu upgrade. My old monitor Freesync range only went up to 90hz.
