Having an Abit IN9-32x 680i mobo would that mean i would need to upgrade in order to use 45nms? I adore my mobo and i'd hate to have to upgrade it.

Is the jump from 65 to 45nm worthwhile or only worthwhile for overclocking?

Thanks

small performance increase clock for clock, but considerably lower power consumption and increased overclocking headroom for minimal additional cost - seems a no brainer if you can wait a little longer.

Of course if your running sli thats another thing altogether, and I'd keep your current system for now as the 780i is just as bad as the 680i, and save your next upgrade cycle for nehelam.
