Hey folks. Was just wondering if it was worth it to upgrade from a GTX 560 Ti to a HD 7950 (liking the mega bundle at the minute, few games I want, but would appreciate any other alternatives)? My other specs are i5 2500k (OC'd to ~3.6GHz) and 8GB RAM, would they be fine with the 7950? PSU is fine (850w Corsair).

Thanks!

You should see a fair upgrade in performance going from a 560 to a 7950. Your PC specs are fine so go for it :)

Although you really should be able to get 4.3Ghz minimum out of that CPU...

Thanks guys for the replies :) Will go ahead and buy it.

Yeah hehe I will consider overclocking some more, just never been comfortable doing it I guess. Getting roughly 40c on idle and up to 60c on load at the min, so unsure right now. I have the 212+ cooler so it should be OK I'm guessing, but may have to reapply paste - will look into it after I get the card.

Cheers again.

60c is freezing for that chip, you need it at about 75/80c under full load to be making full use of it being unlocked :)
