Worth the upgrade?

I currently have a 64bit 939 3500+ Winchester clocked at the stock 2.2GHz. I've just spotted the Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4200+, and I just found out my board supports it.

The chip is only £60, will upgrading to this chip make a noticable difference? They are both clocked at stock 2.2GHz.

I may overclock it if it's worth it.

Cheers,
Scott.

It depends on your long term plan. Will you be upgrading in six months or at the end of the 2008?

You will notice a difference within windows and benchmarking. Very little in games.

I did the same move from a A64 3500 to a Dual core Opteron. Windows was snappier on boot up when it ran all the programs in the task tray leaving you to click and use IE with no delay. Benchmark scores improved. In game I noticed a slight difference, but nothing huge.
