Worth the upgrade ?

Hey,
Im wondering if its worth upgrading from AMD to intel , atm ive got a AMD phenom II x4 945 3ghz cpu , 8 gb ram and GEFORCE GTX 580 3gb gfx card could my cpu be limiting my gfx card potential ?? I use my pc mainly for gaming and wasnt sure how much it would cost to upgrade or if its even worth it. Thanks

Go for an Intel Xeon 1230 V2, 'i7 performance for i5 price', no crappy integrated graphics or dodgy tim to worry about either. Runs cool and quiet with stock cooler.

So good I prefer it to my 3930K .

Unfortunately Piledriver will not run on your MOBO, you need socket AM3+

PS: i had that same MOBO once, nice bit of kit
