Worth the upgrade?

I'm probably daft for even cotemplating this... But is it worth upgrading from an intel i7 2700k at 4.8ghz to the new 4700k? I play BF3 and a few other FPS.

Other PC specs below in my signature.

Any help/advice would be appreciated.

I went 2600k and I am very happy with my 4770k. Nice and fast all those sata 6g ports are a nice little bonus!

Depends if the 4770k you end up with overclock to 4.4ghz+, dont expect to jump into 4770k and hoping for high OC, a few ppl posted bad cpu in haswell OC thread with 4.3ghz with high voltage and temp.

I would keep the [email protected] instead.

In real world terms your not going to see a huge increase in performance over your current setup, keep your change in your pocket.

If your on older hardware like I was when running Yorkfield then yes as you will see a 30-40% boost in performance so it was worth it.

This. It's certainly not worth the cost of a new motherboard and CPU. I'd keep your money in the bank and maybe upgrade your 680 when Maxwell hits the shelves next year.
