I currently have setup the BT Branded 2Wire 1800HG.
It's routing a Pipex 8MB service to 2 PCs both of which are wired. The router seems ok to me but it's a couple of years old and I'm wondering if it's giving me a good connection. Part of it is Pipex themselves are not giving the best service but I know I'm not really getting a great connection.
I have no need to go wireless in the house.
I'm a medium net user, 15GB/month. Quite a heavy gamer so nicer pings would be appreciated. I also use torrents a couple of times a week.
So my question is: Will I see any benefit from upgrading my router to a newer one? e.g. Million, Linksys, Netgear etc.
Are there gonna be newer features that I will benefit from? Will some things be faster and will there be better hardware firewall on board?
