Worth upgrade to Ax86u from Ac86u?

Hi all upstairs speeds are not great and kids are complaining! I have a Ac86u at the moment and will Aimesh another Asus router. I do not have many WiFi 6 devices at the moment, I have onboard WiFi 6 on my Z690 Hero but I feel my PCI Ac88 card is faster. Is it worth me upgrading to the ax86u or just get another Ac86u?

There's a YouTube video that compares the 2 and from what I remember the difference in wi-fi performance/range isn't that much.

Unless you have gigabit broadband and a fair few Wifi6 devices I wouldn't bother.

I would use a Wi-fi analyser to check the channels that you're using are the best ones especially if you're on 2.4Hz. My AC86U works fine up to ~15M away through some thick walls.

Will you connect the routers with wifi or network cable? (if it's by wifi, wifi speeds will be halved)
