Worth upgrading 3870?

In my main gaming rig I have a 4850 512mb which is perfect for gaming at 1680x1050.

In my other rig I have my old 3870 which will be hooked up to my 1080p TV, is it worth upgrading it now or worth waiting for the next gen cards?

I personally would wait a little while. Seeing as the ati 4890 was just released recently I reckon that in a few months maybe they'll bring down the price of the 4870s, and perhaps equal level nvidia cards to keep the competition up.

The obvious idea to me would be to wait untill you upgrade the 4850 in your main PC and hand it down to the second PC.

Yeah that is what I normally do to be honest.

4770s in Xfire is tempting, but I will resist until Windows 7 and the DX11 cards :rolleyes:
