I wouldn't have thought so with a decent overclock. Even if it is you're going to have to spend serious money to get something appreciably better at the moment.

If I were to upgrade, would a 5820 or a 4790 be the better choice?
Does the 4790k offer DDR4 support?
After reading some reviews I think I would prefer the 5930k. Cost to upgrade is around £1000. I can get a 4970k and Z97 M Power for around £390, or use the GByte upgrade thing and pay around £440.
So the question is, is moving to the Z99 platform with a 5930k with DDR4 worth £500-£600 extra compared to swapping out my mobo and CPU for a 4790k and Z97X-UD5H-BK. Bearing in mind the mobo I have chosen for DD4 is the ASUS Rampage Extreme so could chop another £100 off the upgrade price.
1080p using a GTX 680.
Hardly 1440p or 3440x1440p and using two 290X's.
If you've got the money then don't be dissuaded. Your usage is likely to see more benefit than the average gamer. Get some pre and post benches if you do!
I'm using a similar CPU with a 7990 and can't see the benefit being substantial enough.
