Worth upgrading before nehalem?

Hi guys,

I recently bought a dell inspiron 530 (the shame!) off my mate recently for pretty cheap as he was skint. Its not a bad system actually as he changed the psu to a corsair hx 520w, put in an x-fi extreme gamer soundcard and a tv card.

I was thinking of maybe getting a P5Q and an antec three hundred so i could overclock and keep things a bit cooler. But i also plan going nehalem around February time.

So what do you guys think, is it worth upgrading now or just putting up with it until i build my nehalem rig?

If you were keeping that PQ5 system for a good while then I don't see any reason not to upgrade, but if you do upgrade that with a Nehalem system in February then it's probably not worth it, or at least that's my opinion anyway.

I think i may have got carried away with nehalem, im not used to having spare cash! I think i might keep the P45 rig for a while then with a bigger case. I will probably stay with air cooling, with regards to that is the Antec 1200 as *** as everyone says? Also will the psu cope okay with maybe a 4870, oc'ed cpu, couple hdd's/dvd's and 4gb Ram or **** i get something more poerful
