just checking, I've seen some benchmarks already and I did my own comparisons which indicate that there still is no point upgrading my system. I have been waiting for a while, have the money aside, but I don't feel like paying hundreds of pounds for a few measly %.

anyway, what do you guys think?

you can see my components in my signature and I did some benchmarks as well:

My current system is a 3930K and I was looking to upgrade but Intels prices are too crazy for a similar chip. I have pre-ordered the 1800x and will do a side-by-side comparison in the upcoming days.

I'm moving from 3930K @ 4.4GHz to Ryzen 1800X.
If you're mainly gaming, it's probably not worth it and would advise Kabylake. If your work includes heavy loads, compiling etc then maybe take a look at Ryzen.

Probably, I'm moving from a 4930K to a 1700X and looks good.

Generally speaking if you chose the 3930K over the 2700K and don't regret it then you won't regret taking Ryzen over Kaby.
