Worth Upgrading from AMD 64 3200 to x2 4800?

I'm running a Shuttle SN25P and see that the X2 chips are becoming scarce.

I currenly have a AMD 64 Winchester 3200 and was wondering is it worth laying out for a new processer?

I believe the SN25P can take up to a maximum of the X2 4800.

Not sure i want to spend over 100 squid if the difference is negligible.

Are the X2 cores really going to be that hard to get hold of soon.

I was hoping to wait till the last moment when they were at their lowest price before jumping in.

To be honest -it's really only to future proof my rig for Vista.

I don't really hammer it now. Though i recently upgraded to 2Gb for video editing and didn't really notice that much of a difference.

I just don't want to have to buy a whole new setup cos i missed the boat.
