I have a core i7 C0 under custom water and it's overclocked to 3.6. Vcore is 1.330 and VTT is 1.336

I have to increase vcore quite a bit to get 3.8 but can't remember exacly what it was.

Is it really worth me upgrading to d0 to get to 4 - 4.2?

Only if the C0 really wont go higher. 1.33V is pretty low if temperatures are well under control, I vote for pushing it harder before you decide whether to change or not. Under reasonable water I'd expect even a C0 to sit at 4ghz. Worst case scenario is you'll learn so much trying to get 4.00 out of the current one that when you change processor you get everything possible out of the next one.

Crap D0 stepping processors exist as well I'm afraid.

I was thinking the same thing, as my C0 is stuck resolutely at 3.8ghz. Probably less worth it for me, but I've never had a 4ghz CPU and I'm so close!

Load temp is low 60's and thats with a 4870x2 in the loop also (IBT and Prime).

What's the max vcore and vtt I should be going to then if I'm to get 3.8-4.

Will pushing it to 4 make much difference?
