Hi guys, I'm thinking about upgrading my pc again.
Here are my specs for CPU & GPU:

AMD FX-4100 OC'd 15% (4.0Ghz)
Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 Asus Direct II

At the moment I feel like I'm not really making the most out of my GPU. I like to use my PC for gaming and have noticed recently an increase in lag in CPU intensive games. Is it worth the upgrade?

What motherboard are you using, as ideally you will need your motherboard to have heatsinks around the CPU socket area to keep the VRM's cool.

It's a Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3, I've checked and it's compatible with the cpu. Pretty sure there's a heatsink there already, not sure how good it is though. I won't be overclocking with it right away anyway. Thanks for your reply.

Go back to your original thread please, no need to make another one.

8320E and overclock! :)

Yeah sorry guys I had forgotten I even made another thread. You guys were very useful and wanted to say thanks.

I remember you saying to go for the 8320e, I'm definitely looking at that! Is it really worth getting a good cooler/heatsink? I suppose if I'm overclocking I should, I was looking at the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO, think that's a good idea? Thanks.

The CM 212 is a great cooler & very well priced. If you don't do hardcore OCing then that's the best option really. I would hesitate to OC the 8 core CPUs on that motherboard though. You can probably do a light OC but don't push it too much.
