Worth upgrading gpu?

Is it worth upgrading my 7950 twin frozr 3 to something newer or will my old rig bottleneck a newer gpu too much for me to see any major gains. I currently have an xeon x5460 running at 4.3ghz on an asus p5k-e and 8gb ram.

Yeah I was thinking about a SSD. Would it still be worth getting a new gpu now with a view to using the new gpu in a new rig next year, sort of spread out the upgrade or would it be pointless with the cpu I have now?

Skyrim can struggle a bit sometimes but thats probably all the mods. Dont think i can crosfire its an old socket 775 mobo so dont think it has enough bandwidth but i could be wrong.

Im using a 1200p monitor if that makes much difference. Main thing is I want to be able to play farcry 4 at max when i get it. Will look into crossfire but may need to upgrade psu. Will get a ssd. Is the 120gb hynix on in the black friday deals any good?

Yeah just looked at my games folder think I would need the 240 or 256gb. What model do people recommend and is there any make/type to avoid. I know nothing about ssds so am a bit lost!

Well up until a few hours ago I was not even considering a 240/256gb drive. Dont think i can afford to stretch to a 480 but I suppose that depends what I decide to do on the gpu front!

Just bought this Crucial MX100 256GB SATA 2.5” 7mm SSD I know its not the best but whats peoples opinions on it?

Cool sounds good. Would have loved to gave got the 512gb but only the 256gb was on offer. Just have to work out how to clone my raid 0 main drive onto it then all will be good!
