Morning.

I have some Hope Mini M4 brakes with solid rotors and was wondering if it was worth upgrading them with Floating Rotors and braided hoses. Would i notice a difference in the braking ability.

At the moment iam running 200mm from rotor and 160 rear rotor on standard hoses.

It depends how hard you ride them?
The first year I went to Les Gets I still had my Hayes HFX-9 (I think thats what they are called) on my bike and within I week I went through 2 sets of pads and managed to get my hydraulic fluid close to boiling point!!
I went back there the next year with Hope mono6 brakes and the floating caliper it came with. They never missed a beat, braided hoses were on there too but they werent Pace.
Your rotor sizes are the right size.

Yep, I do Morzine/Les Gets on 185/165 M4s. No probs, just have to make sure you use organic pads and not sintered!

So i think unless you're planning on doing some pretty hardcore downhill action, your setup is fine.

wouldn't say i do hardcore DH, but the brakes have to work real hard on some of the saddleworth moor runs we do at weekend. Plus thay have to stop 15.5 stone of me

i think i'll just get em anyway - what the hell, it cant hurt can it....

what the best pads to use - i think they are the sintered ones at the moment??

I used sintered. They cut through the carp that get in between the discs and pads. Take a while to warm up but once they are warm they will not fade and they bite hard :)
I would change the front brake set up for the time being and see how you get on.

Whats the best place to purchase from.

The bike i have (Rock Lobster Team Ti :D) was from Merlin Cycles, but they are not the cheapest place for spares, so where would be reccomended.
